This new video for “My Arms Are The Brooklyn Bridge” off Lil B’s latest – Green Flame – is both beautiful and inspirational.
In the words of the Based God himself:
“WOW I MADE THIS SONG BECAUSE I WANNA SAY I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOUR PARENTS BECAUSE YOU ARE HERE ALIVE,
SOMETIMES WE MAY NOT EVEN BEEN WANTED TO BE BORN FROM OUR PARENTS AND THEY STILL GAVE US A CHANCE AT LIFE,
AND THIS IS MY TIME TO TELL YOU I LOVE YOU AND BE HAPPY..
PLANT YOUR SEEDS OR HELP OTHERS – Lil B”
In all seriousness, I listened to the first few tracks of Green Flame tonight, and I was not fucking with it. I’m talking about the music, though – not the greater message. Lil B has always and will continue to use his status in the hip-hop world as a platform to teach lessons and embark his wisdom and positivity upon the world.
That being said, “My Arms Are The Brooklyn Bridge” is a superb track. I’ll have this track on repeat for a while, and the video fits the mood of the song perfectly. The title represents his ability to connect people of all ages, genders, races, ethnicities, etc. Thank You Based God.
