The first time I heard Charmingly Ghetto and UK-based producer Cypria had a joint project in the works, I had a hard time hiding my excitement. The two linked up for a track called “I.C.G.” off CG’s Study Abroad mixtape, and it happened to be one of my favorites on the tape… which obviously left me wanting more.

The project CG and Cypria are currently working on is called Scotland Yahd, and it’s slated to drop sometime next month. Yesterday, Donuts & Milk premiered the lead single off the EP, a soulful cut featuring Boston folk singer Steph Barrak called “No Light.”

The beat is entrancing, the hook is about as catchy as it gets, and we get three expectedly solid verses from CG. I think someone would be hard-pressed to find something dislikable about this song, but even if they did, it won’t stop me from having “No Light” on repeat this week.
