Three of my favorite on-the-rise rappers, all hailing from Chicago, dropped this new video yesterday for their song, “Mo Purp.”
The track will be featured on Alex Wiley‘s debut mixtape, Village Up, which is set to relesae later this year followed by a collaborative album with Kembe X.
Also featured on “Mo Purp” is Chance The Rapper, who is currently one of my five favorite rappers doing it right now. Period.
This is far from my favorite song from any of the three, but it’s fun, and the Elijah Alvarado-directed video definitely fits the track well.
No matter how you feel about “Mo Purp,” Alex, Kembe and Chance are making huge moves (#MoPurp was trending nationally at one point yesterday), and all three have a wealth of material on the way. Stay tuned.
