I wanted to save my 800-milestone post for an incredible song by one of my favorite rappers alive.

As anyone who’s been following this site for a while knows, I started it last summer and am the sole force behind the site. That means with this writeup on Ab-Soul’s “Niburu,” I’ve been responsible for 800 posts in just over a year. Thanks again to all who’ve been a part of the journey… but back to business.

“Niburu,” produced by JMSN, is the latest example of how Ab-Soul is simply on another level than almost anyone doing it right now. I learned so much by listening to this song a few times through (I’ll credit Rap Genius with the assist), and the more I listen to it the more it’s got me wanting to forget about hip-hop for the rest of the week and study the solar system, Mayan calendars and other things of that nature.
